President Joko Widodo Arrives in France for Paris Climate Conference

Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: President Joko Widodo is ready to participate in Conference of Parties (COP) 21 or Paris Climate Conference after he arrived in Paris, France.

 

The first agenda that will be attended by President Jokowi is Welcoming of Leaders of COP21 that will be held in Parc de Expositions du Bourget.

 

In the welcoming ceremony, President Jokowi and other leaders will be welcome by French President Francois Hollande and United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki Moon.

 

After that, President Jokowi will give his remark during speech session. President will convey Indonesia’s full support for the success of COP21. President will also give moral support for France against recent terror attacks in the country.

 

“We give political support just like in previous meetings. We give commitment because we have 17 thousand islands that are prone with the increase of sea level,” he said in Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport, Jakarta, before he went to Paris in Sunday (11/29/2015) according release from Presidential Communication Team received by Metrotvnews.com.
